About This Program
This is another conversion of one of my FreeBasic programs. It's your basic budget calculator, with the same
features as the FreeBasic version.
Thanks to davej of the W3Schools Forum for helping me flesh concepts of this out.
Instructions
- Click on the top drop-down menu to enter what time period the budget is for.
- Press TAB to advance to the next field. To go back, press and hold SHIFT-TAB.
- Enter any dollar amounts in dollars and cents (####.##).
- Enter any percentages as percentages (6, not .06)
- If your expense is a certain percent, to round it to the nearest dollar, type in "1" for the rounding.
- If your expense is a certain percent, to have it in dollars and cents, type in ".01" for the rounding.
- This rounding also works if you want that expense, say, to round to the nearest $5 ("5"), $10 ("10"), or what not.
- Click "Cash" to add that expense to your cash total, meaning that's the amount you wish to take out in cash when you get paid.
- Click "Calculate" to determine if your budget is balanced.
- Click "Clear" to clear all the text fields.
- Check "Autocalc" to calculate your budget on any change.
